Hello, my name is Scott. I have recently joined the great team at O-health as an Osteopath. I grew up on a dairy farm in Georges Creek, just past Tallangatta and then moved into Baranduda as a teenager. I’ve always had a passion for the human body, injuries and performance. However, I didn’t know what I wanted to do after school. I avoided becoming a podiatrist like my brother by the skin of my big toe. Whilst observing a podiatry clinic, I was lucky enough to witness the wonder that is osteopathy that was hiding right next door. I went home that day knowing what I had to do.
So I graduated high school, gathered some money during my gap year and moved to Melbourne to study. Five years later, I graduated in 2019 and loved every minute of it. I was lucky enough to learn off many great osteopaths, physiotherapists and chiropractors throughout my time at RMIT, I also had clinical placements and sports trainer positions with football and netball teams. I’m excited to continue doing that here at O-health, as we have many great therapists and access to our amazing gym space. I’m looking forward to beginning what I’ve learnt and more to my local community and making Albury/Wodonga healthier and happier with less pain, improved performance and/or returning to all the things we love that injuries prevent. Whatever the goal, I hope to get you there!
Outside of work I love to train in our gym, still kind of at work… so I spend a lot of time here playing table tennis and working out after work hours! Truly outside of work, I enjoy gardening, running, odd fishing trips and solid binge watch of streaming services. I also want to allow some time for golf which I’m a bit average at, but love getting out there for at least a round of nine holes. Another goal of mine is to see more of Australia. After I graduated from university I travelled around New Zealand in a van with my partner and had the best time of my life. Ideally I’d like to do the same here in our beautiful expansive country.
That’s enough about myself, I look forward to meeting you all, hearing your story and what you get excited about. The real power of manual therapy is allowing you to be active and doing what you love again. So I hope to see you out and about our lovely town.
