Originally from Canada, Mat has spent the past decade calling Australia home and the last few years building a strong connection to the Albury community. With a degree in Exercise Science and over 16 years of experience as a Strength and Conditioning Coach, Mat brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to the O-health team.
Mat’s passion for running began during his university days and has since taken him around the globe, competing in everything from 5k races to ultra-marathons spanning 240 kilometres. He’s also the proud founder of the Dawn League run club and has directed numerous running events, sharing his love for the sport with others.
At O-health, Mat specialises in lower limb injury rehabilitation, working with clients of all ages and fitness levels. His areas of expertise include managing tendon overuse, muscle strains, and ligament issues, as well as improving performance for runners and cyclists. Mat’s goal is to empower people to overcome challenges and rediscover the joy of movement.
Outside of work, you’ll find Mat running, cycling, or exploring the great outdoors. Whether coaching athletes or helping someone take their first steps back to fitness, Mat thrives on helping others live active and fulfilling lives.
